Division Rules

Bout times, golden score and draws come with every bout from the tournament, so the board is always set up for the division on the mat — and the referee's call is right there when it's level.

Is IpponBoard Scoreboard free?

Yes, completely free. No account needed to score, no ads and no in-app purchases. Download it and start scoring.

What platforms does it run on?

Windows, Mac, iPad and iPhone. Mac, iPad and iPhone are on the App Store; Windows is on the Microsoft Store. Direct downloads are also available for Mac and Windows if you prefer to skip the store. Windows, Mac and iPad get the full board; an iPhone Duo gets it when unfolded, and other iPhones get an essentials board built for a phone.

Which sports does it score?

Judo (IJF), wrestling (UWW freestyle and Greco-Roman), BJJ (IBJJF), ADCC and sambo (FIAS), each with its own periods, breaks, overtime or golden score, advantages, penalties and tie-breaks. You can also make your own rules with the scoreboard builder.

Does it support Golden Score?

Yes. When regular time ends level in judo, IpponBoard goes to Golden Score with a clear visual indicator. Other sports use their own overtime and tie-break rules.

Do I need an internet connection?

No. The scoreboard works completely offline. When you run a tournament from the board, the mat's bouts are downloaded to the device, so it keeps going all day if the venue Wi-Fi drops; results are saved and sent when you're back online.

Do I need an account?

Not to score. A free IpponBoard account is optional: it keeps your rule presets and team formats on every board you sign in to, and lets you sign in to run a tournament from the board. You can create one from the board itself.

Can I show the scoreboard on a big screen?

Yes. Open the scoreboard window on the hall's TV or projector: the scoreboard shows on its own there, and you keep the controls on your computer or iPad.
