Is Ippon Timer free?

Yes, completely free. No in-app purchases, no subscriptions, no ads. The app runs entirely on your device and costs nothing to operate.

Does it work on Apple Watch?

Yes. Install Ippon Timer on your Apple Watch from the Watch app on your iPhone. You can run timers standalone on the watch or mirror your phone's timer. Presets sync automatically between devices.

Do I need an internet connection?

No. Ippon Timer works entirely offline. The only feature that requires connectivity is Apple Music playback if you're streaming rather than playing downloaded music.

How does voice input work?

Tap the microphone icon and describe your workout — “5 rounds, 3 minutes work, 1 minute rest”. Speech is processed on-device using Apple's built-in speech recognition. No audio is recorded or transmitted anywhere.

Does it track workouts in Apple Health?

Yes. The Apple Watch app can log workout sessions and heart rate data to Apple Health. This data is handled entirely by Apple's HealthKit framework and never leaves your device.
