Tournament management is now live on IpponBoard. Anyone can run a tournament — a club championship, an open, a kids' event, a team event or a come-and-try day — from entries on the first day to the medal tally on the last.
Who It's For
Clubs running their own championships, organisers running opens for several clubs, and associations running come-and-try days. You don't need an IpponBoard club to start: sign up as an organiser and the setup wizard takes it from there. Clubs on IpponBoard can also run a tournament from the club side.
Entries, Fees and Waivers
Entrants sign up through an online entry form, with entry fees and early-bird rates. You can make a tournament members-only, and entrants (or their parents) sign agreements and waivers by typing or drawing. Members and parents manage their entries from My tournaments, and coaches see their competitors.
Clubs stay tidy: entrants pick their club from a list that puts real IpponBoard clubs first, and you can link a tournament club to the real club or merge duplicates.
Rules for Every Sport
Choose the sport and rules per tournament or per division, so one event can mix judo, wrestling and BJJ. Rules can change by age group and by round — for example, shorter contests for juniors.
Weigh-in, Accreditation and Draws
Run weigh-in (including random weigh-in per day), accreditation and entry-fee collection at the desk by cash, card or Square Terminal. Draws include IJF double repechage, round robin (with a final) and best of three. Come-and-try days are matched by experience, with weight only a guide.
Running a tournament?
Set it up in a few steps with the setup wizard. During our intro offer, your first tournament is free.
Start a tournamentPlan competition days and sessions, the mat schedule and running order across mats, breaks, and rest between contests. Team events let team leaders submit their own line-ups.
Live on Every Mat
Each mat runs the free IpponBoard Scoreboard: sign in, pick the tournament and the mat, and the next bout goes up by itself. Results go straight back to the web. If the venue's internet drops, the boards keep going all day — brackets advance offline — and everything syncs when you're back online.
You run the day from the Control page. Volunteer scorers (parents, for example) can score with their own accounts, corrections keep an audit trail, and results can be entered on the web as a fallback.
Results
Results go up on a public page with a medal tally by club, with contest sheets and CSV or PDF export.
Pricing
During our intro offer, your first tournament is free. Tournaments where only your own club's members compete are free on a paid club plan. Otherwise, $5 covers up to 20 athletes, then $3 for every extra 5 athletes (a part-block counts as 5) — for example $17 for 40 athletes and $53 for 100. While launch pricing lasts, the first 20 paid tournaments on the platform pay a flat $5. $5 is charged when you publish and the rest when the tournament starts. Prices are in AUD; see tournament management for the current numbers.
